Born and raised in Michigan, Leslie migrated to Florida in her early twenties.   After a brief move out-of-state, she has come back to stay, enhancing "the LuLu experience" with her innate business acumen and life-honed creativity.   Most of the jewelry pieces featured at LuLu's are "Leslie Originals," demonstrating her unique artistic style, as does the fabulous merchandising found throughout the store.  

Lauri, born in nearby St. Petersburg, spent many summers exploring the area and beaches.  Then life intervened, taking Lauri to North Carolina, Nebraska, Texas, Chicago and back to Texas again and soon, to Gulfport.  Lauri's entrepreneurial abilities have served her well, developing three successful companies in Texas, and now LuLu's is bringing her back to her roots.   Lauri ruminates, "I've always wanted to come back - this area is so unique - you can just be yourself and live in paradise," 

Their shared love of Gulfport, the people, the semi-tropical climate and the Boca Ciega Bay practically lapping at the doorstep inspired the LuLu theme.  We want people to come and "experience" what we find so compelling about the area, sit on the porch, stay and chat and just soak "it" up." 

And if you stay long enough or visit often enough, you may see the two adorable little LuLu assistants in their aprons.  (Leslie's daughters.)
